Butt Weld Tee Fittings for Converging Or Diverging Flow

Butt weld tees, also known as T-shaped pipes or pipe fitting tees, are commonly used pipe fittings in piping systems where fluid or gas needs to be diverted. They are connected to the main pipeline and branch pipelines by welding, allowing the fluid to be diverted from the main pipeline to the two branch pipelines, or to converge from the two branch pipelines into the main pipeline. This simplifies the layout of the piping system and improves its efficiency and performance.

Butt Weld Equal Tee

The butt weld tee (equal tee and reducing tee) has a 90 degree branch and a straight-line pipe that will provide a connection to install another device for the pipeline systems.

The same structure as the T shape, but the size of the 90-degree branch is smaller than the diameter of the straight line pipe. Therefore, install a smaller size pipe or fittings.

1. Butt weld equal tee is used to branch or converge fluids in a piping system.
2. The branch pipe of the butt weld reducing tee is smaller than the main pipe, allowing fluid to flow from the main line to the branch line for branching.
3. A lateral pipe tee(45-degree butt weld tee) is used to branch or converge fluids in a piping system.
